A Glimpse Into the Weekend

0:00 / 0:00

The Manifesto

Before confidence
comes self-trust.

Most of us weren't taught to trust ourselves. We learned how to be good. How to be liked. How to achieve. How to anticipate everyone else's needs before our own. Somewhere along the way, we stopped listening to the quiet wisdom of our own bodies. But self-trust isn't something you earn. It's something you remember. It grows each time you honor your intuition. Each time you choose honesty over performance. Each time you come home to yourself. That's the space we'll create together this weekend. Four days in the desert to slow down, soften, and reconnect with the version of you that existed before the conditioning. Through movement, ritual, nature, sisterhood, laughter, stillness, and honest conversation, you'll remember what it feels like to trust yourself again.

What's Included

Four days. One small circle.
An immersive return to yourself.

We'll gather at a private ranch on two acres of open desert. Three casitas, a hot tub, and a cold plunge under a sky full of stars, and nothing but space to exhale.

The Rhythm of the Weekend

What our days will feel like.

Thursday · Optional Soft Landing

For those who'd like to ease into the experience, an optional Thursday evening arrival is available.

Settle into your room, enjoy a simple nourishing dinner, watch the sunset over the desert, soak in the hot tub, and let your nervous system begin unwinding before the retreat officially begins.

Sometimes the deepest transformation begins simply by giving yourself permission to arrive slowly.

Friday

Wake slowly.

Enjoy a quiet morning with cacao, breakfast, and space to settle into the rhythm of the desert.

Our retreat officially begins in the late afternoon with introductions, our Opening Circle, a chef-prepared dinner, and an evening around the fire beneath the stars.

Saturday

We'll move, breathe, laugh, reflect, and reconnect.

Through yoga, somatic practices, nourishing meals, meaningful conversation, and spacious moments of rest, you'll begin remembering what it feels like to trust yourself again.

As the desert begins to glow in golden light, you'll also experience your personal portrait session — a chance to be witnessed exactly as you are.

Sunday

We continue deepening into the work while also making room for joy.

There will be time to rest, journal, connect with the other women, explore hiking trails, soak in the hot tub, and simply enjoy being fully present.

We'll close the evening celebrating everything you've remembered beneath a sky full of stars.

Monday

We'll share one final breakfast together before our Closing Circle.

Prepare to leave with a heart that's a little softer, a body that feels like home, and a deeper trust in the woman you've always been.

What they say after.

"Brenda's workshop was such a powerful and nourishing experience. The mini photo shoot was such a beautiful touch, helping us embody the confidence and poses we learned in front of the camera, and she captured us so naturally. It was part workshop, part photo shoot, part soul-nourishing gathering, and I left feeling more connected to myself and others."
Karlie Dean
"Brenda's workshop was amazing. It was so powerful to open up and share vulnerabilities with a group of kind and open-minded people. I loved how she integrated nervous system regulation, breath work and body movement. My portraits look amazing and I look forward to attending another workshop!"

A NOTE FROM BRENDA

Hello, beautiful soul!

For nearly two decades, I've had the privilege of witnessing people remember who they are. Sometimes it happened in front of my camera. Sometimes on a yoga mat. Sometimes in the quiet moment when someone finally stopped performing and simply allowed themselves to be. One of my greatest mentors, the legendary photojournalist Maggie Steber, shared a Haitian proverb with me years ago that has stayed with me ever since: "Little by little, the bird builds its nest." I loved those words so much that I had a sparrow building its nest tattooed on my shoulder. To me, it is a daily reminder that transformation isn't built in one giant leap. It's built one twig at a time. One honest conversation. One courageous breath. One moment of choosing yourself again. When we stop obsessing over how far we have left to go and instead become fully present with the small choices in front of us, we begin creating a life sturdy enough to hold who we truly are. That's what this weekend is about. Not becoming someone new...but gently returning to the woman who has been waiting beneath the expectations, the roles, the achievements, and the performing. We'll move, breathe, laugh, rest, dance, cry if we need to, and celebrate under the expansive skies of Joshua Tree. My hope is that you leave with a deeper relationship to yourself than when you arrived. I can't wait to meet you in the desert, Brenda

Questions

A few things women ask.

Do I need experience with somatic or embodiment work?

Not at all. Come exactly as you are.

What are the sensual practices — is anything explicit?

No. This is about sensual aliveness — reconnecting with pleasure, presence, and your own body. Everything is consent-first, and you're always free to opt out of anything.

What's the food like?

All meals are prepared fresh on-site by a private chef, plant-based with dietary needs accommodated — just tell us in your intake.

What if I want my own room?

Choose the Private Room tier, or ask about upgrading from a shared spot.

What's your cancellation policy?

Your $500 deposit holds your spot. The balance is refundable until September 20, 2026, and transferable to a friend after (upon approval).

Is this really a photo experience included?

Yes — every guest receives a personal portrait session with me, woven right into the weekend.
